The Danish Women's Society's shelter in Copenhagen is a sheltered residence for battered women and their children. We also offer counselling for battered women and their relatives. The house is situated next to Rådhuspladsen.

We are open for counselling and accommodation 24 hours a day all year round.

Physical surroundings

We have room for twenty women and their children divided between sixteen family rooms and four single rooms.

The shelter is a non-smoking facility. Therefore smoking in the rooms is not permitted. There is a smoking cabin in the basement.

The front door is always locked and entrance to the house is only possible by using the door phone, which has video surveillance.
